Oklahoma!

Oh what a beautiful morning,
Oh what a beautiful day.
I've got a beautiful feeling,
Everything's going my way...
Oh, what a beautiful day...

-Rodgers and Hammerstein (1943)

Ok, i admit, that this song from Oklahoma may not be an entirely (or even largely) accurate depiction of the day, but just have the song in my mind...

Today did go quite well though...

Classes today went rather well. From EL2101 lecture, for example, i learnt how to equate the word 'because' to a man, and the word 'furniture' to a barren woman (don't even ask how that came about). Also, am happy to announce that i did manage more than the token nod of approval at my two tutorials today. While admittedly i still did talk very much merely for the sake of talking (and the tutorial participation marks that come with it), at least i made some sense (methinks, at least...). I've learnt that the best time to add in my two cent's worth is right at the start once the question has been asked, so that i will not have to contend with the added opinions of the rest of the class, who obviously have brains working far harder than mine is, for most of their comments fly right over the top of my head... Me catch no ball.

Also good to know that this blog has provided a public service by informing Debs and Ryan about the recently-concluded GAPS module classification exercise before it ended, so that they could get it settled...

Am very thankful to God for His manifold provisions and answers to prayer even for one particular event, namely the first thursday cg, which went on just now... For stuff like the opening up of a venue, when we were all prepared to brave the unknown frontiers of nus and boldly go where few have gone before to source for a new venue, the facilities of the venue, the many freshies who turned up, the time of getting to know one another, the heartfelt sharing from freshies and seniors alike, the new friendships made... The list goes on, and once again His ability to do immesurably more than we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us (Ephesians 3:20) amazes me so...

Lord, teach me to trust fully in your unfailing goodness and faithfulness. Amen.
